CEO · Marketplace & E-commerce Operator · Seattle
I help consumer brands turn Amazon, Walmart and Target Plus into profitable, controllable, complementary growth channels, and build operations that hold up when the volume arrives.
20+ years running marketplace and commerce businesses, including nine years as CEO of Infinite Commerce, where we scaled a multi-channel marketplace business to $250M+ in annual revenue.
Former CEO · Infinite CommerceWho I help
Consumer brands tend to hit familiar roadblocks as they scale. Their founding success in retail, social, or wholesale does not translate well to the unique features of massive online marketplaces. Operations begin to fracture under growth and complexity. I have spent my career fixing both.
Based in the greater Seattle area and working with consumer brands, aggregators and investors across North America.

Recommendations
From colleagues, direct reports and advisors across Infinite Commerce, Conversant and MeziMedia. Shared on LinkedIn.
He is the kind of leader people choose to follow. I would work with him again without hesitation.
I had the privilege of working with Steve for ten years at Infinite Commerce (previously Juvo Plus), including four years reporting directly to him. Few leaders have influenced my career—and the way I think about leadership—as profoundly as he has.
Steve has an exceptional ability to cut through complexity and identify what matters most. He often sees market shifts and opportunities before others do, grounding his instincts in rigorous analysis and data while knowing when leadership judgment is required. He is a rare leader who can set direction at the highest level and, when needed, step in and work alongside the team to get things done. During his tenure, he helped scale the company tenfold while continually strengthening the organization and its leadership team.
He is also one of the strongest communicators and strategic storytellers I have worked with. He turns complex, data-rich ideas into clear and compelling narratives, helping people understand not only what we are doing, but why. His ability to adapt his message to different audiences creates alignment across teams and builds trust with board members and investors.
During our time together, I grew from a manager to an SVP, and Steve’s mentorship played a defining role in that journey. He recognized my potential, gently pushed me toward opportunities I might not have pursued on my own, and offered feedback that changed how I approach problems, make decisions, and lead. He gave me the trust and space to grow without micromanaging, while always providing candid guidance and support.
Steve is strategic yet grounded, intellectually curious, calm under pressure, and deeply accountable. He owns difficult decisions, shares credit, treats people with respect, and genuinely cares about those he leads. He is the kind of leader people choose to follow. I would work with him again without hesitation.
Had the chance to work with Steve for several years at Conversant (formerly ValueClick). After Conversant acquired Mezi Media in 2007, Steve quickly stepped-up to be the leader of that business segment. Steve is whip-smart, super hard working, a strong leader, driven to produce results, loyal and moves very fast. Really enjoyed working with him, and consider it an honor to have worked side-by-side with him.
I had the pleasure of working with Steve Neufer as a peer since the ValueClick acquisition of Mezi Media. Watching him successfully navigate the “Google dance” time and time again was impressive from both a technical and revenue perspective. Steve was the most tech savvy of the ValueClick revenue owners and therefore, a strong asset to many of us as we tested new initiatives. I have no doubt that he will continue to be so for any organization that he works with or for.
I greatly appreciated Steve's directness and honesty. Steve was one of the few people I could go to and know I'd get a straight answer. Steve was not one to just complain when he saw a problem however, he was also quick to offer solutions. Steve was an exceptional manager and garnered much respect from those who worked for and around him. Steve is eager to understand deeply the jobs of those who worked for him as well as the needs of his clients. My recommendation comes from genuinely wanting to work with Steve again someday.
I had the pleasure to work with Steve during the ValueClick Brands sale process. Steve handled the entire process in a thorough professional manner – very responsive and with a positive attitude. He made our lives easy. Steve’s knowledge and command for internet/digital media sector is invaluable. His integrity and passion to build a successful business with great culture sets him apart from others.
